January 2020

2024 Apr 3rd

If you’re reading this it is 2020 and a brand new year. It’s time to make a New Years resolution and everyone makes a different one that reflects who they are and what they want in a brand new year full of opportunities. Maybe this year you could make a resolution to try new things.

Try hunting a new area this year. Maybe it’s just walking a few hundred yards further on the ground you normally hunt, maybe take an afternoon and drive to a new area or spoil yourself and go on an extended hunt to a whole new area you’ve never been to before.

Try a new product. Every year the supplier trade shows introduce new products and things we have never seen before or even knew existed. Try a new target. Maybe a Drummond Gong is something you would like or be super adventurous and get a couple Thundershot exploding targets, you’ll be amazed at the fun you can have with those.

I’ll admit that I was originally against a fully automatic BB gun, that was until I tried it. I never thought anyone would pay $249.99 for a BB gun which is essentially just a toy. I am now the proud owner of two of them and even drove one across the country this summer on vacation to play with. Sometimes you just have to go out on a limb and try something you think you will hate, you never know how it will go.

How about a new year- new you- new gun? Have you had your eye on something you have always wanted? Maybe this is the time to get it. Or maybe just try a new caliber or something crazy that you think you might like. The possibilities are endless and the options just keep getting crazier- a full length .410 revolver, a 3 barrelled shot gun or a 50 caliber hand gun are some outside the box choices.

Try something new in this new year which is a new start and an opportunity to do something different.
